God Bless Grandchildren

Bless my littlest grand child Murphy,he turned 6 last month and when asked what he wanted for his birthday ,he said a pic of him with great (that is what my grandies called my mum and those of you that know me,know that she passed away last year)
And then he said if he couldnt have that could he have a turtle, lol.
Well i had some pics blown up and framed of him with his great (my mum) and he told everyone that was the best present that he got.
I have one pic with some card board behind it to make it firm and then covered it in plastic and he has it hanging above his bed and his sister told me that he takes it down every night before he goes to bed and gives Great a kiss and then hangs it back on the wall.
What special little people our grandchildren are.

We stayed in Lee Point caravan park while in Darwin with a heap of friends and we were lucky and had a spot under a big tree which kept our van in shade for most of the day.
The pic on the right i had made my friends and us some scones with jam and cream for morning tea, yummy.

Boy on our way to Dundee Beach we saw these enormous termite hills and they were everywhere, lol.

We also caught up with some blogging friends Larissa and her lovely daughter Lani and Vickie at one of the hotels in Humptydoo,we had a wonderful time and a great lunch.

We also went to the crocodylus park which had so many crocodiles and all sorts of animals.

There was lots to see and we were going to do the crocodile jumping cruise but there wasnt enough water in the waterway for the boat that they used.

I did manage to do a little bit of crocheting while away and know i have 52 squares for a blanket.

Hope your day is a good one.
cheers Sheryl xx

Murphy's love for Great is so special. Such a simple gift has provided so much joy. It sounds like you holiday was very social. It must have been fun. Did you cook your scones in the oven in the van or in a hooded BBQ? What a pity to miss out on the boat tour. You know what that means - you'll just have to go back.

aww, such a gorgeous grandchild, what sweet thoughts he has about his Great.
Love that shady camping spot and to having those homemade scones to share would've been perfect!
You certainly had fun and, wow, that Crocodylus Park looked interesting.
Good for you keeping up with your crocheting while away too... it'd have been fairly warm there I'm guessing.
Cheers and thanks again for your lovely holiday updates :D)

Aw how sweet. How special to know it was his favorite gift. My son really misses my mom's parents so I understand. It's hard to lose a family member. This way he's always hold on to her. Lovely other photos. Looks like a good time indeed.

My, my what an enjoyable post:) Your grandchild is adorable and sweet as pie. I have never seen for heard of a termite hill, I think I would have been afraid to stand that close to it.
Great that you had a chance to meet up with your blogging sisters. I'm sure you had lots of laughs and giggles.
A town named Humptydoo . . . The name alone makes it sound like a fun place to live. Have a sweet week,
Connie :)
